I have had an on-and-off love affair with photography. As a teenager, I experimented a bit with film photography, but never really learnt the basics. I was the photographer who used the ‘P’ mode and prayed that the photos turn out ok! Thankfully, none of those photographs can be found!

It was in 2018 - when I decided to take a break from my corporate career and travel the world - that I became serious about photography and truly fell in love with it! Counterintuitively, I invested a big chunk of my savings to buy professional camera gear, ‘YouTube-d’ my way through photography basics, and set out for the travels with my rock heavy camera bag. And I loved it! I loved that I could combine my passion for travel and photography. I also loved that my extended family declared me a ‘photographer’, even though I was still learning the basics!

Over the years, I have broadened the genre of photographs I take, the lenses I use, and the compositions I experiment with. However, I am definitely still learning the art of photography. Am still honing my composition skills, and importantly, am still trying to figure out my ‘style’. Maybe I will never discover my style, but am certain, my love affair with photography is now for life.
